Halfmoon Rosetail Betta The halfmoon rosetail betta, or halfmoon rose petal betta, is an amazing variation of betta splendens. These fish come in a variety of color patterns, but all have fins so large that they fold over on themselves. The folding of the fins gives the fish its name, since the folds resemble the petals of a flower.  There are many names for the particular betta color patterns but most are variations of blue and/or red colors.
