The CM FX500 (Stage 5) clutch is ZZP's recommendation for high HP Ecotecs. Clutch selection is hard, especially on the Delta chassis Ecotec cars. We have pushed, abused, and used many combinations over the years. Our FX300 clutches utilize a segmented Kevlar disc. This will provide more holding power than FX100 or FX200 yet it still offers exceptionally smooth driveability and long life. Combined with our aluminum flywheel this an excellent performance upgrade.The FX300 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate with a Steel Back Segmented Kevlar disc. This is the perfect road-racing application. FX400 utilizes a 6 PUCK ceramic sprung disc complemented by a bulletproof hub assembly. It is designed for cars with significant power upgrades. Engagement is hard and quick.The FX400 System uses the Power Plus I Pressure Plate with a custom extremely durable Sprung Ceramic disc. This is the ultimate extreme duty street and/or road/drag racing system. The sprung hub design allows for moderate dampening in high-torque applications rendering it much more streetable than solid or rigid designs. This disc is designed for long life outstanding holding capacity and rapid heat dissipation.Warning: Due to the solid (no Marcel) friction rivet design the FX400 disc engages very quickly and may chatter slightly in first and reverse. To help alleviate this problem we only use premium ceramic friction material. FX400 (Stage IV)-Ultra heavy-duty street &racing system-Holding capacity 170% over stock-Heavy-Duty reinforced pressure plate-Hi-Leverage™ pressure ring design-Sprung hub/4-button-Ceramic friction material-SFI Approved on most race applications. Clutchmasters FX500 Stage 5 Clutch Kit (6 Puck) This is a ZZP clutch combo that is known to shift faster due to not coming with a sprung hub, results are faster shifting at high RPM, the downsides are slightly more grabby off the line.  The holding capacity is the same as the FX400, it is just a more race oriented combo. Clutch Masters Twin Disc systems are pure racing technology that also works well in high performance street applications. They are designed to hold tremendous horsepower and torque ratings, while retaining a very smooth operation. By slightly increasing the clamping force of the pressure plate and adding to the square inches of usable disc area, CM Twin Discs significantly increase clamping values with only a 25-50% increase in pedal pressure depending on the application. The cover assembly is machined from billet aluminum with 25% more tensile strength than the competition’s cast unit. The flywheel is machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum to meet SFI spec 1.2 for competition in NHRA, NDRA, IDRC, IHRA, SCCA and NASA. Each aluminum flywheel includes a replaceable heat shield. Steel flywheels are also available on select applications.725 SERIES – (7.25” Twin Disc)The 725 series is a smaller diameter assembly, which creates less rotating mass and offering quicker, and smoother shifting with much better throttle response. “Street and Race” (TD6.5) – 1 sprung ceramic disc, and 1 fiber tuff rigid disc  Components can be purchased separately for economical repair. Positive release for ease of high RPM staging and shifting. We highly recommend measuring the actual finger height of the assembled stock clutch versus the clutch masters, if the finger height is lower with the Clutch Master Clutch, then we recommend also purchasing our Throw Out Bearing Spacer.
